Diandra Kalish, Founder & Executive Director

Diandra Kalish is an educator, traveler, and reusable menstrual product enthusiast. She graduated from Bard College in 2013, and moved to Ecuador to teach English. She returned to Brooklyn, New York in 2014 to work in the nonprofit sector. She started UnTabooed in the spring of 2015 after being accepted into World Learning’s Advancing Leaders Fellowship.  Read her Founder’s Story and Medium post to learn more. 

Emily Scott, Workshop Facilitator 

Emily Scott is a feminist, a designer at an architecture firm, and a reusable menstrual product enthusiast. She graduated from the University of Virginia in 2013, after which she had a short stint at a fair trade cafe before joining the water-cooler workforce. She is thrilled to be a part of the UnTabooed team.

Serafina Payne, Workshop Facilitator

Serafina Payne is currently a student at Columbia University in the School of Social Work where she is receiving her Master’s in International Social Work Policy. Serafina was introduced to the world of resuable menstrual products and the UnTabooed mission after attending a workshop. Since then she has personally made the transition to the menstrual cup and has become an advocate for making resuables more accessible for all women.

MEAGAn Chuey, Board Member

Meagan Chuey is a Certified Nurse Midwife working in New York City. She enjoys lattes, hiking, and watching YouTube birth videos in very public places. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2014 (Midwifery), 2010 (Nursing), and 2009 (Linguistics), and then moved to NYC because she’s always wanted to be a city girl. She is passionate about public health, education, and spreading the joy of reusable menstrual products.

Shulie Eisen, Board Member

Shulie Eisen is a public health professional living in Brooklyn and a big supporter of anything feminist. She’s passionate about women’s health and rights and enjoys drinking coffee, traveling near and far, and sunshine. Shulie joined the UnTabooed board in 2016. 

Tracy Puhl, Board Member

Tracy Puhl is excited about women in leadership and happier periods. She is the owner of GladRags, and an expert on environmentally friendly menstrual care options. Tracy joined the UnTabooed board in 2015.
